Whew...!

Hello everyone!
Boy have things been busy! I have been in and out of town on training courses for work lately. Then we adopted out Rounder to a great family in San Marcos about a week or so ago. And yesterday we recieved our new foster... she is an adorable little thing!
3 years old, housebroken (thank goodness!!), and very sweet. We decided to name her Rags.
She's very cuddly and smart, loves kids and does well with other dogs (for the most part), but doesn't get along well with cats. If you know anyone who might be interested...???

Anyway, she and Sandy got along real well to start with but then had a big fight over treats last night... right at Birdman's feet and someone got ahold of him-and good!! We couldn't tell who got him but one of them bit him HARD! Not quite drawing blood but as close as you could get without... I felt so bad, but after he shook it off (yelled, cursed, threw things, and stomped in and out of the room), he forgave the dogs right away and peace was restored. Both dogs were confined in punishment in the meantime.

Also Birdman took Oban for the first hunt of the season yesterday, and he sat in a tree the whole time. Birdman thought he wasn't going to come back and called me to bring gerbils in a trap with net and hurry before dark! I got out to the location and we set the trap, tried the lure... finally it was almost dark and I guess Oban decided he couldn't see to hunt anymore and just dropped out of the tree to Birdman's glove and the waiting day-old chicken meal! Very frustrating, hunting on bird terms!! My pony may have found a new home, a place closer to my house and easier for me to get to... so glad to have her here finally! And lastly I just wanted to let everyone know that I finally got a good clear report from the doctor. I had two different biopsys done, after an abnormal pap, to check and remove dysplasia (abnormal cells = most severe form of pre-cancer) from my cervix. Anyway, all is good now. Apparently the Doc believes this is all a product of the HPV STD that I apparently picked up somewhere and it just manifested out of dormancy this year (maybe due to stress? the move, I guess). So... words of wisdom to pass on to all of you girlies out there (and boyses to pass on to your important girlses), (realizing that it is way too late for most of you/us...) is: The HPV virus is not prevented through the use of condoms!! We are always taught that if we have to have premartial sex... blah, blah, blah... use a condom and be safe. Well, unbeknownst to some (like me!), a condom doesn't protect you from HPV at all!! Ok, enough gloom, doom, and soapbox junk! That's all I got right now, so hope you all are safe and well!! Miss you and keep in touch!
